I AM — The Power of Self-Expression

I AM

Easy thought today…

I woke up and started thinking “I AM FULL OF ENERGY”, which is how I motivated myself to get up out of bed this morning.

Self-expression is HUGELY important.  Today, stop and listen to what you say to yourself every time you hear your voice speak “I AM _____________”.

Use these words consciously instead of unconsciously in conversation, because you ARE what you BELIEVE and what you SAY you are.

Try it — when you say “I am Tired” you become tired, but when you say “I AM FULL OF ENERGY” you will.  When you say “I AM STRESSED” you become stressed.  When you say “I AM SAD” you will be sad.  When you say “I AM HAPPY”, I swear there is a mind-shift that creates your different reality.

Not sure if this will work, but here are results from a google search I did for “what you believe you become” this morning.  There are some articles from Success, Psychology Today, Huffington Post, and a Bible quote that resulted (Matthew 9:27-34) if you want to read more about the power of belief.

What we speak is tremendously powerful in our mind, and most of the time I think we speak “I AM__________” unconsciously.

It is a trigger word that I listen for in my own life, and I stop every time I say it to make sure I want to be what I just said :).  This awareness has really made a difference in my ability to enjoy my life — or not.

The “I AM” is a huge part of self-awareness and our ability to be aware of our thoughts and our beliefs about ourselves and our understanding of our emotions.

Any time we can get awareness about our self and tools to control our thoughts — to STOP and take a moment to shut our unconscious downward spiral down — to recognize the thoughts that help us or hurt us, is an amazing thing.

This awareness is LEARNED behavior.  We are not born with the ability to have self-awareness, we learn it.

Today, try to not let the “I AM” tell you stories.  Make today, your right now, what you can control, your focus.

I believe that it’s time to enjoy your life.

I believe that it is TIME to Play <3

Love,

Doreen Guma
