CHOOSE LAUGHTER

In my previous article I explained how beautiful laughter can be in many different areas of your life.

Now, we are going to look at how to incorporate more laughter into our lives with two simple but potentially life changing steps. These are very easy self help steps that will help you tremendously.

First, we must learn to look for or search out humor and joy in our lives.

Studies have been done to show that children automatically laugh at least 400 times per day as opposed to15 times a day for their adult counterparts and reasonably so because the most important moments of life are the worry free/care free experiences that we enjoy as children, the times when we have no worries and no responsibilities. As adult we can become so encumbered with our daily activities and responsibilities that at one time or another, we’ve all said, “wouldn’t it be nice to be young again?” As adults, gone are the days when all we had to worry about was cleaning our rooms, home work, time to play and time to eat.

Secondly, we must find ways to bring the number of times we incorporate laughter into our daily routine up to at least 50 times a day as this will enable us to recapture some of that childhood jubilee we so easily neglect or deny ourselves. For example, visualize or remember something that you thought was funny and just start laughing out loud. You will be amazed how you will feel when your start doing that whenever you find yourself in a hard, stressful or painful moment. See the following quotes:
