Have Money Week: Money Management / Daily Budgeting

June 20 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

This workshop will provide information on money management and budgeting to include:
How to Manage your Money during the Economic Downturn:
  • In this workshop, we will address the issues concerning consumers suffering from unemployment, decreasing wages and lost equity in home-ownership.  Some of the points that we will cover are trying to manage a budget with reduced income and prioritizing which bills to pay first and which are the best resources to access once the situation arises.
  • During our discussion we will look at how to avoid the minimum monthly payment trap on credit cards. Paying the minimum amount due satisfies the monthly obligation, but keeps the cycle of debt in motion. We will show you how to break that cycle.
Daily Budget Workshop
  • This interactive workshop will teach you how to track your spending on a daily basis, and reduce spending for obligations and services. Once that is established we can look at different ways for you to still enjoy your daily routine without sacrificing pleasures or completely changing your lifestyle. A detailed budget form will be provided to structure an actual monthly budget and daily expenses.

John Pabon, the Debt / Credit Counselor for the Time to Play Foundation will present as part of our goal to provide proactive and non-threatening financial wellness education to people as part of our Time to Play Philosophy.
